Before today, I had never tasted a macaroon. I have always been obsessed with how adorable macaroons are. Cookies sandwiched together with a yummy filling, what could be cuter? Though mine didn't turn out perfect looking, they still tasted good. (that counts for something right!?) I used this recipe, and it was relatively easy. I had everything at the house except the almond meal, which ran me $11 at the grocery store, yikes! I didn't let the macaroon batter set out for two hours before baking, however. Maybe that would have made them better looking? I'm not sure.
{my next attempt at macaroons will be colorful}
I've never tasted a macaroon either, i just like to look at how cute they are! Can't wait to see your colorful ones!
ReplyDeleteFirst attempt ? They look amazing ! You're such a good cook ! I can't wait to see your colored ones ! Check out : http://nothinlasts.blogspot.com/ I just posted a 5 things of the week :)
ReplyDeleteThese looks delicious and amazing! Great job for your first attempt! Isn't the $11 almond flour a bit pricey?? I tried grinding my own almonds which is much more economical but I don't think the macarons come out as good. I'll have to try chocolate macarons next :)
